Introductory Clinic
3-day clinic with Klaus Schöneich and Gabriele Rachen-Schöneich
Take the opportunity and learn together with your horse from the original: The well-known training and rehabilitation concept was developed over 30 years ago by Gabriele and Klaus Schöneich, has since influenced numerous trainers and found many imitators. The internationally sought-after trainer and successful author grants individual one-on-one training during three days.
Functional training on the lunge
Clinic participants learn and foster gymnastic lunge work with the cavesson according to the ARR Straightening Training. This functional training without rider's weight, in which the horse builds up within a very short time those muscles that it needs for the development of the carrying capacity. This is a basic requirement for fine riding and is suitable for young horses as well as for further trained horses that lack suppleness and balance or that stagnate at their performance level. Horses with pre-existing health problems, such as those suffering from back pain (kissing spines, recurring blockages of the spine, etc.), knee problems, recurring lameness or other movement problems, also benefit enormously. According to our experience, so-called "difficult" horses find more balance, calmness and reduced panic reactions as a result of lungeing work.
Anatomically correct riding
Anatomically correct riding consists in the transfer of the sustainable and gentle movement patterns that the horse has learned during the straightening training on the lunge. The result is a highly motivated riding horse that can exploit its full performance potential. Rhythm, impulsion, suppleness and a fine contact become a matter of course due to the established carrying capacity and the collection is only the next logical step, which is attainable for every horse-rider pair. Clinic participants whose horses have already benefited sufficiently from lunge work will receive riding lessons from Klaus Schöneich as part of this clinic.
Conditions of participation
Participation in the clinic is independent of riding style, training level, breed and age of the horse. In addition to the practical part with lungeing and riding units, a detailed theory block with lecture and movement analysis based on video recordings of the clinic horses is an important part of the clinic.
